ADONAI,
Indeed, my backslidings are many.
I have sinned grievously against you.
I have shamed your name.
But, you are the God who forgives!
See my repentant heart.
See my desire to serve you.
See my confession that I have no hope in anything but you.
Though my iniquities testify against me, I cry out to see you proclaim the glory of your own Name.
Do mighty things today, Yahweh, so that I may see your works and be in awe of your Name.

Show me where I may wash your feet in joyful praise.
Reveal to me where my sin has separated me from the fullness of your blessings.
I want to be a warrior, yes, but I must first be a servant.
Praise your great Name for the unearned blessing of being your servant.
Create in me the fervency of devotion to you, that I may serve you with everlasting joy.

Be the words behind our tongues.
Let us listen well to good advice and be humble men who receive instruction.
How can we be kings in our homes and communities without your guidance? It is impossible without you.
Bless you for sending faithful men who can speak life into us.
Open our ears to good counsel, and grant us a humble spirit.
